Tir\u00e9sias<\/em>, un op\u00e9ra court de Poulenc, a, d\u00e8s sa cr\u00e9ation, \u00e9t\u00e9 pr\u00e9c\u00e9d\u00e9 d&rsquo;un autre op\u00e9ra (\u00e0 l&rsquo;\u00e9poque, <em>Madame Butterfly<\/em>). Pour sa production au Th\u00e9\u00e2tre des Champs-Elys\u00e9es, Olivier Py a initi\u00e9 sa r\u00e9flexion \u00e0 partir d&rsquo;une citation de Poulenc qui, r\u00e9digeant <em>Les Mamelles de Tir\u00e9sias<\/em>, avait \u00e9crit : \u00ab\u00a0<em>J&rsquo;en \u00e9tais encore au Rossignol<\/em>\u00ab\u00a0. Cr\u00e9\u00e9 en 1914, <em>Le Rossignol<\/em> ne pr\u00e9c\u00e8de que de trois ans la pi\u00e8ce d&rsquo;Apollinaire, <em>Les Mamelles de Tir\u00e9sias<\/em>, que Poulenc utilise ensuite pour le livret de son op\u00e9ra.<\/p>\n<p>L&rsquo;id\u00e9e d&rsquo;associer les deux ouvrages au cours de la m\u00eame soir\u00e9e va au-del\u00e0 des liens de parent\u00e9 musicaux et historiques. D&rsquo;un conte philosophique pour les enfants, on passe \u00e0 un conte surr\u00e9aliste \u00ab\u00a0<em>pour faire des enfants<\/em>\u00ab\u00a0. Olivier Py choisit alors de monter les deux \u0153uvres en un seul et m\u00eame spectacle : une fois, vu de coulisses, la deuxi\u00e8me fois, vue de face.<\/p>\n<p>Dans <em>Le Rossignol<\/em>, un directeur de cabaret se meurt en coulisses. Seule la voix du Rossignol (le nom de sc\u00e8ne de la chanteuse de la troupe qui interpr\u00e8te le r\u00f4le de Th\u00e9r\u00e8se dans <em>Les Mamelles<\/em>) peut le sauver. Chaque \u00e9v\u00e9nement, chaque costume ou \u00e9l\u00e9ment de d\u00e9cor que le public voit dans <em>Le Rossignol<\/em> a son verso dans <em>Les Mamelles<\/em> : de fait, les deux op\u00e9ras se d\u00e9roulent simultan\u00e9ment sur sc\u00e8ne.<\/p>\n<p>Les deux \u0153uvres traitent de la question de la mort, et, pour <em>Les Mamelles<\/em>, sur cette \u00e9trange forme de la mort qu&rsquo;est la sexualit\u00e9. Dans <em>Le Rossignol<\/em>, la voix d&rsquo;un petit oiseau extraordinaire, m\u00e9taphore du sens de la vie, est remplac\u00e9e par un oiseau m\u00e9canique. Dans <em>Les Mamelles<\/em>, il ne s&rsquo;agit de rien de moins que de procr\u00e9ation artificielle ! Les deux \u0153uvres tentent de r\u00e9pondre \u00e0 la m\u00eame question : peut-on remplacer la vie par quelque chose de synth\u00e9tique, de technologique ?<\/p>\n<\/div><\/section><\/div>\n\n<style type=\"text\/css\" data-created_by=\"avia_inline_auto\" id=\"style-css-av-430muc2-0a96a94396b41109f347ef27d6fde5fd\">\n.flex_column.av-430muc2-0a96a94396b41109f347ef27d6fde5fd{\n-webkit-border-radius:0px 0px 0px 0px;\n-moz-border-radius:0px 0px 0px 0px;\nborder-radius:0px 0px 0px 0px;\npadding:0px 0px 0px 0px;\n}\n<\/style>\n<div class='flex_column av-430muc2-0a96a94396b41109f347ef27d6fde5fd av_one_half  avia-builder-el-9  el_after_av_one_half  el_before_av_hr  flex_column_div av-zero-column-padding '     ><section  class='av_textblock_section av-40bfeea-f0eb907e401f69e69c3029f0f41bf2db'  itemscope=\"itemscope\" itemtype=\"https:\/\/schema.org\/CreativeWork\" ><div class='avia_textblock'  itemprop=\"text\" ><h3>La sc\u00e9nographie<\/h3>\n<div align=\"justify\">\n<p>L&rsquo;id\u00e9e de ce recto-verso intellectuel prend toute sa forme gr\u00e2ce au d\u00e9cor ing\u00e9nieux de Pierre-Andr\u00e9 Weitz, qui signe la sa 45e collaboration lyrique avec Olivier Py. L&rsquo;action se passe au cabaret \u00ab\u00a0Le Zanzibar\u00a0\u00bb (inspir\u00e9 par un lieu qui a r\u00e9ellement exist\u00e9, et qui fut le plus ancien bar homosexuel d&rsquo;Europe, \u00e0 Cannes, et qui existait \u00e0 l&rsquo;\u00e9poque de Stravinsky, Cocteau et Poulenc).<\/p>\n<p>Le d\u00e9cor pr\u00e9sente d&rsquo;abord les coulisses d&rsquo;un th\u00e9\u00e2tre, avec, au rez-de-chauss\u00e9e, les loges et le canap\u00e9 du directeur, et, au premier \u00e9tage le passage sur sc\u00e8ne et une loge de changement rapide. On aper\u00e7oit ainsi en parall\u00e8le l&rsquo;action du Rossignol et certaines actions des Mamelles de Tir\u00e9sias qui se jouent sur sc\u00e8ne, en arri\u00e8re-plan. Chaque \u00e9l\u00e9ment de d\u00e9cor, chaque accessoire est r\u00e9versible. Le d\u00e9cor est retourn\u00e9 \u00e0 vue, pendant l&rsquo;entracte.<\/p>\n<p>Le ch\u0153ur chante depuis les coulisses et depuis la salle dans <em>Le Rossignol<\/em>, et depuis les loges du d\u00e9cor dans <em>Les Mamelles<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Les costumes<\/strong> sont les m\u00eames entre les deux op\u00e9ras, chaque chanteur interpr\u00e9tant plusieurs r\u00f4les dans chacun des
