Pelly, La P\u00e9richole est une oeuvre bien plus noire et sombre que d&rsquo;autres op\u00e9ras d&rsquo;Offenbach. L\u2019apport qu\u2019Agathe M\u00e9linand a fait sur l\u2019adaptation des dialogues et l\u2019univers sc\u00e9nographique de Chantal Thomas vont dans ce m\u00eame sens : loin d&rsquo;un P\u00e9rou fantasm\u00e9, l&rsquo;action se passe entre une classe (tr\u00e8s) populaire et un dictateur qui se veut terrible mais est, de fait, souvent ridicule. \u00ab\u00a0<em>M\u00eame si l\u2019on insiste sur la noirceur de cette oeuvre, la po\u00e9sie, la folie et l\u2019humour d\u2019Offenbach sont toujours pr\u00e9sents ; et plus c\u2019est noir\u2026 plus c\u2019est dr\u00f4le<\/em>\u00ab\u00a0, explique Laurent Pelly.<\/div>\n<div align=\"justify\">\n<p>\u00ab\u00a0<em>Cette histoire de dictateur libidineux se d\u00e9roule au P\u00e9rou mais pourrait avoir lieu n\u2019importe o\u00f9, n\u2019importe quand. Le personnage du vice-roi est burlesque, mais il reste avant tout un pr\u00e9dateur. Piquillo et P\u00e9richole sont des gens qui ne mangent pas, qui dorment dans la rue, pas tr\u00e8s dou\u00e9s dans la vie, mais ils s\u2019aiment et leur amour est touchant et beau. Les trois cousines y tiennent un food truck qui sert essentiellement de l&rsquo;alcool bon march\u00e9. L&rsquo;immeuble au fond accueille la gar\u00e7onni\u00e8re de Don Andr\u00e8s. Des bancs et des chaises et le food truck changent de place et de fonction \u00e0 chaque sc\u00e8ne. Piquillo et La P\u00e9richole sont des musiciens de rue un peu punk rock.<\/p>\n<p>Pour le deuxi\u00e8me acte, l&rsquo;action se transporte dans le palais de Don Andr\u00e8s, o\u00f9 les courtisanes ressemblent \u00e0 de blondes hollywoodiennes parfaitement interchangeables entre elles, dans des robes argent\u00e9es (chacune diff\u00e9rente). Le d\u00e9cor est compos\u00e9 de miroirs sur roulettes, qui refl\u00e8tent tant\u00f4t l&rsquo;action, tant\u00f4t les portraits de Don Andr\u00e8s diss\u00e9min\u00e9s dans le d\u00e9cor.<\/p>\n<p>Ce portrait reste omnipr\u00e9sent y compris dans la cellule de prison o\u00f9 est jet\u00e9 Piquillo.<\/p>\n<p>Pour le dernier tableau, le portrait de Don Andr\u00e8s est d\u00e9cor\u00e9 de graffiti, et install\u00e9 sur un fond repr\u00e9sentant le ciel \u00e9toil\u00e9 au-dessus d&rsquo;une vue nocturne urbaine.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div><\/section><\/div>\n\n<style
