librettiste Calzabigi nous ram\u00e8nent \u00e0 l\u2019essence m\u00eame du mythe, en se concentrant sur le personnage principal et en concevant de longues sc\u00e8nes homog\u00e8nes. Pour m\u2019accorder \u00e0 cette esth\u00e9tique, j\u2019ai h\u00e9sit\u00e9 \u00e0 chor\u00e9graphier l\u2019ensemble de l\u2019oeuvre. (&#8230;) J\u2019ai finalement opt\u00e9 pour une approche plus r\u00e9aliste, plus concentr\u00e9e, en r\u00e9duisant au maximum les artifices th\u00e9\u00e2traux et en employant un d\u00e9cor unique o\u00f9 j\u2019ai cherch\u00e9 avec mon collaborateur en lumi\u00e8res, Peter Van Praet, \u00e0 cr\u00e9er des atmosph\u00e8res vari\u00e9es. On \u00e9vite ainsi toute rupture entre les sc\u00e8nes et on se conforme \u00e0 cette \u00e9conomie d\u2019effets que recherchait Gluck, avec son style si ac\u00e9r\u00e9.\u00a0\u00bb<\/p>\n<p>Amour est un personnage plus important que les interventions que la partition lui r\u00e9serve. Il \u00ab\u00a0est successivement double d\u2019Orfeo et d\u2019Euridice, d\u2019abord homme, puis femme dans la derni\u00e8re sc\u00e8ne o\u00f9, soud\u00e9s par la passion amoureuse, les deux protagonistes ne font plus qu\u2019un. Le versant masculin de l\u2019amour affronte la douleur la peur et le courage, tandis que son versant f\u00e9minin repr\u00e9sente l\u2019\u00e9lan vital, ce qui conf\u00e8re sa v\u00e9ritable port\u00e9e \u00e0 ce happy end, au terme d\u2019un parcours situ\u00e9 dans un contexte que j\u2019ai voulu r\u00e9aliste.\u00a0\u00bb<\/p>\n<\/div><\/section><\/div>\n\n<style type=\"text\/css\" data-created_by=\"avia_inline_auto\" id=\"style-css-av-430muc2-0a96a94396b41109f347ef27d6fde5fd\">\n.flex_column.av-430muc2-0a96a94396b41109f347ef27d6fde5fd{\n-webkit-border-radius:0px 0px 0px 0px;\n-moz-border-radius:0px 0px 0px 0px;\nborder-radius:0px 0px 0px 0px;\npadding:0px 0px 0px 0px;\n}\n<\/style>\n<div class='flex_column av-430muc2-0a96a94396b41109f347ef27d6fde5fd av_one_half  avia-builder-el-9  el_after_av_one_half  el_before_av_hr  flex_column_div av-zero-column-padding '     ><section  class='av_textblock_section av-40bfeea-5725422b83499a585b0eb58dda36b124'  itemscope=\"itemscope\" itemtype=\"https:\/\/schema.org\/CreativeWork\" ><div class='avia_textblock'  itemprop=\"text\" ><h3>La sc\u00e9nographie<\/h3>\n<div align=\"justify\">\n<p>Avec le d\u00e9corateur Tobias Hoheisel, Robert Carsen fait le choix des mat\u00e9riaux naturels (terre, sable, fleurs, eau, feu&#8230;) pour la <strong>sc\u00e9nographie<\/strong>. On retrouve dans <em>Orfeo ed Euridice<\/em> les quatre \u00e9l\u00e9ments qui forment \u00ab\u00a0la charpente de notre monde\u00a0\u00bb.<\/p>\n<p>\u00ab\u00a0Les \u00e9l\u00e9ments naturels forment l\u2019espace sensible o\u00f9 nous nous mouvons tous\u00a0\u00bb, dit Robert Carsen, qui revendique l&rsquo;h\u00e9ritage de Peter Brook quant \u00e0 la signification de l&rsquo;espace vide et sa conception d&rsquo;un \u00ab\u00a0th\u00e9\u00e2tre imm\u00e9diat\u00a0\u00bb, avec un rapport \u00e9troit entre le jeu d&rsquo;acteurs, la sc\u00e8ne et le public.<\/p>\n<p>La ch\u0153ur qui accompagne le parcours d&rsquo;Orfeo et d&rsquo;Euridice rappelle une communaut\u00e9 m\u00e9diterran\u00e9enne afin de renvoyer aux origines grecques du mythe. Pour repr\u00e9senter les Esprits, le ch\u0153ur ne changera pas de <strong>costumes<\/strong> : toutes les propositions th\u00e9\u00e2trales sont recevables quand il s\u2019agit de montrer l\u2019autre monde dont nul ne sait rien par d\u00e9finition.
